(MOU Renewed)…The Board of Supervisors approved the renewal.
The original Memorandum of Understanding was signed in 2017. The MOU is between the County Office of Education and Behavioral Health Services. It allows for the continuation of the Youth and Young Adult Program at Calexico Academy School, Valley Academy School, and Del Rio Academy School. The Program provides school site alcohol and drug counseling to students and/or families. The responsibilities of the Program include, but are not limited to, providing a substance abuse counselor to conduct counseling sessions at the schools, conducting individual group and/or family sessions at the schools on a regular basis, and providing information and referral for higher level of care if needed. The MOU will be in effect through June 30th, 2019.
