U.S. Marshals and Homeland Security Investigations agents have arrested a man wanted on child abuse charges in the Imperial Valley.
Kenneth Earl Hooks , 34 , was arrested earlier this week in Las Cruces , New Mexico. Hooks had been on the run since early April of this year. He is wanted in Imperial County on charges of possession of child pornography. The charges were filed by the Imperial County District Attorney's Office following an investigation conducted by the Imperial Valley Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. Hooks girlfriend , 28-year old Sarah Morris , was arrested on similar charges at Slab City in April. Hooks was arrested without incident. In addition to the Imperial County charges he will also face federal charges in Alabama.
