(Seniors in Seeley to get assistance)….The Board of Supervisors approved the request.
Public Administrator Norma Saikhon went be fore the Board Tuesday to request $1,800 from the Counties General Fund. The monies are to be used for a provision of food commodities for Seeley residents over the age of 60. She said since the Brown Bag program was cut, assistance to rural areas has been lacking, especially in Seeley. Saikhon said there was no senior center in Seeley. The Supervisors agreed to the request, and asked the Public Administrator to look into the possibility of setting up a center that would allow the seniors in Seeley to participate in the senior nutrition program. The Board asked that other rural areas be given the same consideration.
