A Holtville man was arrested Friday and now faces charges for possessing drugs and stolen property.
Imperial County Sheriff's Investigators , Imperial County Narcotic Task Force Agents and members of the Imperial County Street Interdiction Team served a search warrant on a home in the 600 block of Olive Avenue in Holtville. The search warrant was obtained after law enforcement officers received several complaints that narcotics were being sold at the house near Holtville High School. A search of the residence found over one pound of what was described as high grade marijuana as well as scales and packaging material. Investigators also seized several laptop computers one of which was confirmed stolen in a Calexico burglary in the month of April. Officers also seized several other electronic devices that had their serial numbers removed. Officers arrested 21-year old Jeffrey Meek of Holtville. Meek was booked into Imperial County Jail for Possession of Marijuana for Sale, Possession of Stolen Prpoerty and Possessing property with the Manufacturers Serial Number Removed or Altered.
