(IVEDC announces it’s Project of the Year)….It is the Imperial County Detention Center near the East Port of Entry.
The announcement came at the Imperial Valley Economic Development Corporation’s Annual Dinner Thursday. The project employees hundreds of construction workers and will offer up to 300 permanent jobs. The Dinner allowed the IVEDC to spotlight projects they have been a part of in Imperial County. IVEDC President and Chief Executive Officer Tim Kelley said over $100 million in contracts are going through the doors of IVEDC.
