(Woman and baby hit by a car)….The 2 year old only suffered a bloody nose.
The California Highway Patrol says the 21-year-old mother was walking along Borrego Springs road Tuesday evening. She was pushing a stroller with her child inside. A 43-year-old woman, a Borrego Springs resident, told the CHP she was driving at around 55 miles per hour when her vehicle struck the 21 year old and the stroller. Both were thrown to the dirt shoulder of the road. The 21 year old suffered a broken arm, and possibly a broken leg and ankle. She was flown to Sharp memorial Hospital in San Diego. The child was taken to Rady’s Children’s Hospital to be checked, but officials say a preliminary examination indicated the child only suffered a bloody nose.
