(25 year old suffers fatal injuries)…A 23 year old woman is seriously injured.
The incident was reported Wednesday night. The California Highway Patrol says the 25 year old from Florida was riding a bicycle, towing a woman in a cart near Slab City. The CHP says a pickup, driven by 39 year old Kenneth Riggs of Niland, collided with the Bicycle. The 25 year old, whose name cannot be released until his family is notified, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced at the scene. The woman, Taylor Bing McCready from Oregon suffered a partial amputation of her left leg and other injuries. She was flown to Desert Regional Medical Center for treatment. Her condition is not known. The woman’s dog was also killed in the incident. The incident remains under investigation.
