(Thanksgiving Day Feasts)…The Local Salvation Army held theirs Wednesday.
The Salvation Army went against tradition this year. They held their annual Thanksgiving Day feast Wednesday at their Thrift Store and Community Center on 4th and Ross in El Centro. They estimate 1,400 enjoyed the meal. The Hacienda Scholarship Foundation hosted their Thanksgiving Luncheon at the Lyon’s center in Brawley. The Neighborhood House held their feast at the Community center in Calexico. Both those events were on-going and attendance numbers were not available.
