(Imperial County Strike Team)…They are still in Lake County
. They are assisting in the Pawnee Fire. County Fire Chief Estrada says the team could remain at the fire for the next few days. At last report The Pawnee Fire was 40 percent contained, after burning 13,700 acres. 22 structures have been destroyed with 600 structures still threatened. Evacuations have been lifted in some areas. The Imperial County Strike Team is among 2,700 firefighters combating the fire. No injuries have been reported. The fire was first reported June 23rd. No cause has been determined.
