(Less than a month to go)…The Grand Opening is expected to be September 21.
The long awaited El Centro Aquatic Center is in its final stages of construction. The construction fences around the $16 million Center are down, giving the public a glimpse of what to expect. Construction work is still on-going. Landscaping will follow. When it open, the Center will feature an 8 lane competition pool, a warm-up skimmer pool, activity pool and a lazy river. It will also have a Rec Room and other amenities. The construction of the Aquatic Center was made possible from grants and other funding. It will cost around $3 entrance fee. That is to help cover the cost of lifeguards, air conditioning, water and other amenities needed to operate the facility.
