(Judge rules in favor of DACA)…The ruling delivers the biggest blow to attempts to shutdown the program.

The program is the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals. The Trump administration has tried to shut down DACA. US District Judge John Bates Tuesday called the governments decision to end the DACA program virtually unexplained and there fore unlawful. The Judge also ruled new DACA applications must be accepted. However, the Judge stayed his ruling for 90 days to give the Department of Homeland Security a chance to provide more solid reasoning for ending the program. Bates is the third judge to rule against Trump Administration attempts to rescind DACA, which provides two-year, renewable work permits and deportation protection for about 690,000 Dreamers, undocumented immigrants brought to this country as children.
